The Raley is a classic extreme sports move where the board is fully extended behind and above your head at peak jump height, creating an almost horizontal body position. It's a power and commitment move — the board leaves its natural position entirely and must be swung back down for landing. One of the most spectacular tricks in the air.
The raley position requires you to be pulling hard on the wing — it's the wing tension that allows the board to kick out behind
Let the board swing back naturally as the wing pull is released — don't force it back
Your whole body should be nearly horizontal at peak — arms extended on wing, legs extended behind
Land with weight forward — the Raley body position tends to pitch you back on landing
