Around the World
About this trick
Around the World is a wing manipulation trick where you pass the wing completely around your body in a 360° arc. The foil keeps flying throughout while you rotate the wing overhead, around, and back to the start. It looks fluid when done well and is the foundation for walk-the-dog and other wing-manipulation tricks.
Key tips

Start slow — practice the arm motion in water before attempting it at speed on foil
- 2
Keep the wing slightly above head height during the rotation so it doesn't catch the water
- 3
Maintain foil speed by using momentum from a good approach — you can't generate propulsion during the rotation
- 4
The hardest moment is when the wing is behind you; commit through it quickly
