Riding back-to-wing means you're facing completely away from the wing — an even more extreme position than backwinded. The wing is held behind your back. This is the key intermediate position for 360 tricks where you need to fully rotate through the back-to-wing phase cleanly to complete the spin.
This position is unstable — get comfortable with backwinded riding first, then progress here
Keep the wing held flat and close behind you; extending it outward creates drag that unbalances you
You can only maintain this position for a second or two — it's a pass-through, not a sustained position
Practice rotating quickly in and out of back-to-wing from backwinded — this trains the rotation mechanics
