Wingfoil · Duotone Wing Academy
The advanced version of the downwind 360 is about maintaining foil flight throughout the entire rotation — no touching down, no bobbling, a smooth continuous arc. This requires precise weight distribution, smooth wing handling, and good foil speed throughout. Once you can do this consistently you're ready to start combining spins with other elements.
Maintain constant foil height throughout — if you're losing height mid-spin, enter with more speed
The backwinded phase is the highest risk for touchdown — keep weight forward and the foil's speed up
Use a smooth wing transition rather than a sharp flip — it keeps the foil steadier
Film yourself — it's very hard to judge your own height during the rotation without video feedback
