Playa de Guardias Viejas sits at the legendary Punta Culo de Perro headland west of Almerimar in El Ejido — a site that has hosted the Spanish Wave and Slalom Championship since 1987. Powerful Levante easterlies and Atlantic Poniente westerlies funnel around the point, producing real swell and punchy waves. The old lighthouse marks the launch zone, and the sandy beach transitions to rocky shallows near the point adding serious spice to every wingfoil session.
