About this spot
Often called the flattest spot on Fuerteventura. The trade wind comes over the low isthmus at La Pared and reaches this part of the east coast side offshore to offshore, which keeps the water very flat. In summer it regularly blows 25 knots and more.

“The wind is offshore: if your mast breaks or your wing tears you drift out to sea. Beginners ride with the school on the beach, which can pick you up. Without a school, only go out when you can go upwind without effort. The wind is gusty close to the shore. Costa Calma, just south, has similar conditions in front of the hotels.”
