The small volcanic island about 2 km north of Corralejo, a protected natural park. Its long right-hand reef break works mostly in autumn and winter on northwest swell of about 1.5 metres and up.
“Visiting Lobos needs a free LoboPass permit, booked online up to five days ahead, with a daily limit and two time slots. The ferry from Corralejo harbour takes about 15 minutes; check with the operator whether they take wing gear. Crossing the channel on a wing is for advanced wingers only: the current in the channel is strong and changes with the tide, and you need a boat or a solid rescue plan. The wave is for experts. Bring everything, there is only a small restaurant on the island.”
