A reef break on the east coast, along the dunes of the Parque Natural de Corralejo, about 6 km south of town and south of Flag Beach. It works in spring and summer when a northeast swell meets the trade wind, with waves of about 1 to 3 metres breaking left and right over reef and sand.
“Advanced only. The reef is shallow in places and there are sea urchins, so wear booties and consider a helmet and impact vest. Mid to high tide is easiest for getting in and out. Watch a few sets from the beach before you go out, and never ride alone. No facilities on the beach, bring water. Limited roadside parking along the dune road.”
