Flag Beach

Just outside Corralejo, Flag Beach is one of Fuerteventura's classic windsport setups. North westerly trade winds from spring through summer line up beautifully for wing foil, kite, and windsurf. The beach is sandy but there are rocks in the water and the wind can swing slightly offshore at times. On the right day you'll score long sessions with plenty of space and a proper Canary Islands atmosphere.

Local tips
Wind is most consistent from June through August with the NW trades. Check the forecast for offshore swing, especially in the morning. The rocks in the water are avoidable but stay alert when riding back in. Worth arriving early for the best launch spots. Schools operate nearby so watch out for kite lines. About 3km south of Corralejo town centre, easy parking on the road.
