Torre delle Stelle
Torre delle Stelle, Maracalagonis, Italy

Torre delle Stelle is a sheltered granite bay on Sardinia's southeast coast, roughly thirty kilometres from Cagliari. A reliable afternoon sea breeze arrives from the south each summer day, building to solid wingfoil strength by noon. The water stays flat to light chop with a sandy bottom and extraordinary clarity. Beautifully uncrowded compared to northwest Sardinia, this raw and scenic bay is one of the island's best undiscovered wingfoil spots.
Best months: May, June, July, August, September, April, October
Wind directions: SE, S, SW
Water: Flat, Chop
Bottom: Sand
Sports: Wingfoil
Local tips
Best wind arrives June through September, building after 12:00 and holding until early evening. The bay is relatively small so arrive early on weekends to claim rigging space. A short drive south to Villasimius opens up more spots and the best food in the area.
