Lake Garda's northern tip is a wind sports paradise thanks to predictable thermal winds. The Pelèr blows from the north in the morning and the Ora from the south in the afternoon, offering two sessions per day.
“Morning Pelèr is stronger and gustier, great for experienced riders (small wings). The afternoon Ora is steadier and perfect for beginners. There are several spots to start from: Torbole is the most well known spot, Malsecine another local favorite, and Campione a good spot where the afternoon winds arrive early and steady. Even starting in Limone is ok but wind always arrives a bit later, and less strong (but the town is nice and beautiful). There can be a bit of a wind hole though. Always be careful of ferry boats!”
