Punta Trettu is one of the Mediterranean's most celebrated flat water lagoons, tucked into the southwest coast of Sardinia near San Giovanni Suergiu. The Mistral funnels in from the northwest almost daily, creating perfectly flat and shallow conditions that draw freestyle riders and wingfoil racers from across Europe. Sandy bottom, warm water, and an established kitesurf community make this one of the island's most consistent and rewarding year round spots.
“Rig and launch from the sandy spit at the point. The lagoon is extremely shallow near the edges so foil boards need care at lower water levels. Wind arrives mid morning and builds through the afternoon. Kitesurf and wing schools on the beach handle equipment rental. Strong Mistral days are intermediate level and above.”
