Porto Conte is a sheltered natural bay within the Porto Conte Regional Park northwest of Alghero. The Mugoni beach stretches 1.5 kilometres along a protected cove, with forested headlands filtering the Mistral into smooth thermal breezes ideal for wingfoil beginners and freeriders. Crystal turquoise water over a sandy bottom. Shore Wind school provides wingfoil and windsurf courses directly on the beach, with stunning parkland scenery as the backdrop to every session.

Local tips
The bay is sheltered enough that water stays flat even when Mistral blows 20 knots outside. Best in the afternoon thermal from June to September. The access road through the park closes at night.
