Lake Como is one of Italy's premier wind destinations, driven by two thermal systems: the Breva (S) builds from mid-morning through afternoon, while the Tramontana (N) arrives in spring and autumn. Domaso on the northern shore offers a wide pebble beach and is widely considered the heart of the lake's wind scene.

Local tips
Domaso has 2.5 km of shoreline, multiple rental shops, and a well-established windsurf school. Dervio benefits from a venturi effect through a narrows. The Breva blows most reliably June–August; arrive by 10:00 to rig before it picks up.
