Lago di Cavedine
Windvalley Surf Centre, Lake Cavedine, Italy

Lago di Cavedine is a compact alpine lake in the Trentino hills, just north of Lake Garda, known for some of the Alps' most consistent thermal winds. Great for families due to smaller waves and more forgiving conditions than Garda. The Pelér sweeps off the mountains each morning, then flips to the warm Ora breeze by early afternoon. Windvalley Surf Centre sits right on the water for an easy launch. A proper local gem that rarely disappoints from May through September.
Best months: April, May, June, July, August, September

Local tips
Launch from Windvalley Surf Centre on the south shore. The Pelér (N) runs from 09:00 to 13:00, then the Ora (S) takes over from around 13:00 to 18:00, giving you a full double session day. Water stays flat inside the lake. Summer weekends get busy so arrive early for a spot on the launch strip.
