About this spot
The east coast of Paros is windier than the west and Chrysi Akti proves it. North to northeast Meltemi arrives at 20 to 30 knots side shore from June through September on a long sandy beach that has hosted PWA World Cup windsurfing events. Strong and reliable, suited to intermediate and advanced riders. Different from Pounta Beach on the west coast, and worth the drive for the better wind.

“Chrysi Akti is on the east side of the island, about 25 kilometres from Paros town. The wind is reliable and side shore. Not to be confused with Pounta Beach on the west coast which has a different wind angle. Food and accommodation available nearby in Dryos village. The centre on site runs from May through September.”
