Local tips
Take the southeast road out of Mykonos town and follow signs to Kalafatis, about 8 kilometres from town. Sessions run best from late morning through mid afternoon. Strong wind means this is a spot for riders who are already comfortable foiling and can hold upwind in 20 to 30 knots. Busy in peak tourist season but the water stays manageable.
