Saint Aygulf sits at the mouth of the Argens river on the Golfe de Fréjus, sheltered from the Mistral by the Maures hills. What you get instead is the Ponant, a reliable south to southwest thermal that builds to 20 knots or more through summer afternoons. Flat water inside the bay makes it a perfect learning ground and a genuinely fun spot for intermediate foilers seeking uncrowded sessions on the French Riviera.
“The dedicated wing and kite zone is on Plage des Esclamandes north of the main beach. A beach marshal operates in summer and a marked channel extends 300 metres out — follow the rules to keep access open for everyone.”
