Piantarella is a turquoise lagoon between the Bonifacio coastline and the Lavezzi Islands — the most beginner friendly wingfoil spot in southern Corsica. Uniquely flat and shallow water with westerly and easterly winds blowing cross to onshore, and a sandy bottom that keeps things safe at low speeds. Schools operate April through October. The stunning scenery facing Sardinia across the strait adds something special to every session here.

Local tips
The lagoon is very shallow near the sandbank — wear foot protection. Bonifacio Windsurf has full school and equipment hire on site; book well ahead in July and August.
