Le Dossen

Le Dossen is one of Brittany's most celebrated kite and windsurf spots, at the commune of Santec near Roscoff, facing the Île de Sieck. Backed by 97 hectares of coastal forest, the beach is vast and rarely crowded. Consistent Atlantic swell and SSW–W winds draw kite, wing and windsurf riders from across Europe year-round.

Local tips
Best kite conditions at mid rising tide. Low tide reveals 700m+ of flat water — ideal for wingfoil. Give right of way to char à voile (land sailing) which shares the low-tide flat. Seaweed (goémon) can catch kite lines. NW winds create gusty conditions due to wind shadow from Île de Sieck.
