Lac d'Annecy is one of the clearest lakes in Europe, framed by dramatic limestone mountains. The Bise — a cold, gusty NE wind — creates challenging conditions that reward experienced riders. Doussard at the southern end and Albigny near Annecy are the two main launch areas.

Local tips
Doussard is closed to kiting in July and August; September to June it opens from 13:00. Albigny is accessible year-round. The Bise is irregular — check forecasts carefully and only ride if you are confident in gusty conditions.
