Atlantic beach break at its most raw. Hossegor's sandbanks deliver hollow, punchy waves that attract the world's best surfers every autumn for good reason. For wing riders, hunting the east offshore windows unlocks perfectly shaped peaks. The power is real here: shallow sandbanks and quick lips demand respect. September and October are prime as summer crowds thin and big swells fill in. This is where skills get tested.

Local tips
The WSL Pro CT contest runs here every autumn, making October weekends very crowded. Go early or late in the day for breathing room in the lineup. East winds are your friend: they clean up the peaks and create ideal wing conditions. Les Culs Nus and La Nord are the most consistent peaks. Water stays warm through October but drops fast from November. Full suit from November through April.
