Capo di Feno
Plage de Capo di Feno, Ajaccio, France

Capo di Feno is a raw and exposed headland beach north of Ajaccio, accessible only by a rough track through protected maquis scrubland. When north and northwest winds combine with Atlantic swell pushing into the Mediterranean, the beach produces genuine wave riding conditions that are rare in Corsica. Expect punchy onshore surf and strong gusts around the cape. Autumn and spring are the seasons, summer swimmer restrictions limit access during peak months.
Best months: March, April, September, October, November, May
Wind directions: N, NW, W
Water: Waves, Chop
Bottom: Sand, Rock
Sports: Wingfoil, Windsurf
Local tips
Check conditions carefully before paddling out as currents around the headland can be strong. The southern section of the beach offers more shelter in very strong wind.
