Hayling Island on the Hampshire coast near Portsmouth is one of the UK's best known wingfoil and kitesurf destinations, with a dedicated beach culture and school presence built up over more than two decades. A 2 kilometre sandbar extending into the Solent creates a shallow inner lagoon sheltered from prevailing westerly swell, delivering flat water foiling in almost any wind direction from east through west. CBK Hayling Island runs a full wingfoil school and rental on site.

Local tips
The inner lagoon at low tide is ideal for wingfoil beginners. Avoid launching within three hours of high tide when the beach shrinks. A launch pass is required at the CBK zone.
