Witsand
Witsand, Overberg, South Africa, South Africa

Witsand at the Breede River mouth on South Africa's Overberg coast offers flat water kiting and wing foiling in a wide estuary sheltered from ocean swell. The natural sand split between river and sea creates a lagoon up to 800 metres wide with 14 to 30 knot SE and SW winds from September through April. Warm shallow water and no sharks make it ideal for beginners and foilers. Mainly kiters though as its really flat and nice to jump!
Best months: September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April
