Praia Nova Vaga is the official kite and wingfoil beach of Costa da Caparica, roughly 15 minutes south of Lisbon across the Tagus. The reliable Nortada northwesterly thermal wind builds steadily from late spring through summer, delivering consistent side shore conditions on a wide Atlantic beach with waves rarely exceeding 1.5 metres. Proximity to the capital and Boarder Club Portugal on site make this one of Portugal's most frequented wingfoil spots. Easy to reach, hard to leave.

Local tips
Wind builds reliably from midday to early evening on Nortada days. Boarder Club Portugal runs the school and rental on site. Avoid the busiest summer weekends for more space on the water.
