Rockanje is the southernmost calm corner of this stretch — a quiet beach village where a large offshore sandbank dampens the wave action and leaves the water in an almost docile state. There's a real local scene here, unhurried and community-oriented, and the consistent SW–NW window makes it a favourite for wingfoilers wanting sessions without drama. N and NE blow over land and get gusty — stick to westerlies.
“Offshore sandbank means calmer water but depth increases quickly further out. Reddingsbrigade Rockanje monitors the beach. Avoid N/NE — gusty over land. Great discipline spot for foil.”
