The Maasvlakte is as raw and industrial as it gets — reclaimed land, container ships in the distance, and some of the most consistent exposed conditions on the Dutch coast. Close to shore: flat-to-choppy freestyle. Four hundred metres out: proper 2-metre sets rolling in from the Atlantic. The wind here is uninterrupted all the way from the ocean. Windmill construction has restricted some zones — check status before going.
