The Grevelingenmeer side of the Brouwersdam is one of the best-known wing foil and kite spots in the Netherlands. The former sea inlet is now a large salt lake with flat, open water and reliable south-westerly winds blowing across the dam. A fantastic spot for beginners and freestyle riders alike.
“The wind accelerates over the dam and can be gusty directly behind it — head out 200 m to find cleaner, steadier breeze. There is a windsurf and wingfoil school and rental shops in the car park. Very busy on summer weekends.”
