Dakhla is one of the world's top flat-water destinations, but also has a few great wave spots on the peninsula. The vast lagoon stretches for kilometres with consistent thermal winds kicking in daily, making it ideal for freestyle and freeride.

Local tips
The best flat-water areas are on the eastern side of the lagoon. Wind usually picks up between noon and 2 pm. Book a spot camp early in high season (July–August).
