Klitmøller, nicknamed Cold Hawaii, is Denmark's most famous wave spot and one of Europe's top wave wingfoil destinations (although we personally like Hanstholm better!). The exposed North Sea beach receives powerful Atlantic swells and strong W winds, creating world-class conditions that have hosted international surfing and windsurfing competitions for decades. The vibrant local surf scene makes it a true watersports village. When its west- north west, head north to Hanstholm.
“The surf can be heavy with shore break. `Assess conditions carefully before launching. Water temperature is cold year-round (10–16°C): a 5mm wetsuit is standard. The local surf shop Cold Hawaii Surf Camp is the community hub.”
