Sint Joris Bay is Curacao's premier wind sports lagoon — a sheltered two by two kilometre bay on the northeast coast protected by a narrow channel from the open Caribbean. Easterly trade winds blow on more than 300 days a year at 17 to 22 knots across warm, predominantly flat water with a sandy bottom. Two established schools run wingfoil lessons and rentals, and the generous bay size gives every level plenty of space to explore.
“Wear water shoes on entry — the shoreline rocks are sharp. The lagoon is 15 minutes from Willemstad by car, easy to combine with a morning in town before your afternoon session.”
