Praia do Estoril lies just outside Sal Rei on the western side of Boa Vista, the most accessible launch on the island. The NE trades wrap into the bay as side onshore wind and the reef offshore takes the punch out of the bigger sets. Flat water close to shore, small chop further out, a few schools on the sand. Friendly conditions for first Boa Vista sessions and confident progression riders.

Local tips
Easiest launch on Boa Vista, walking distance from many hotels around Sal Rei. Wind builds through the morning and peaks early afternoon. Watch for small reef patches on the outside at low tide. Schools rent wing and kite gear right on the beach. Beach bars handle drinks and lunch.
