Kite Beach lies on the protected east side of Sal, where the reef tames the swell and leaves a wide, shallow flat water playground. The NE trades blow side onshore almost daily from November through May, making this the warm up zone for almost every visiting rider. Schools, rentals, and a buzzing beach scene cluster along the sand. Easy launch, forgiving water, ideal for early sessions and freestyle progression.

Local tips
Walk north along the sand to find space away from school zones. Wind builds through midday and peaks late afternoon. Several beach bars sell water and food right at the launch. Watch for shallow patches at low tide on the inside, especially on a foil. Rental gear is plentiful at the main center.
