About this spot
The Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure are five reservoirs south of Charleroi. Wingers and windsurfers use the Plate Taille, at 374 hectares the largest lake in Belgium. Espace Fun on the Froidchapelle side rents gear and gives lessons, and the club Windsurf-Heure has its base on the same lake. The water is flat and the surrounding hills make the wind shift and drop in places, so a bigger wing is useful.

“Park at the large car park above Espace Fun, Rue du Bois du Four in Froidchapelle, and walk about 200 m down to the beach. Access to the domain is free; rental and lessons are paid on site. Swimming is only allowed in the guarded zones in season, keep clear of them. The season for rental runs from May to September.”
