About this spot
Hazewinkel is the Sport Vlaanderen domain in Heindonk, between Mechelen and Willebroek. Next to the rowing course lies the smaller windsurf lake used by Hazewinkel Windsurfing vzw, a club that welcomes windsurfers, SUP riders and wingers. The water is flat and the launch is from a grass bank in front of the clubhouse. The wind gets a bit gusty from the trees on the banks with southerly winds.

“Access is through the club, open on weekends from April to October between 13:00 and 19:00 and also on Fridays in July and August. A day card costs about 10 euro and can be bought online. The club rents windsurf gear and SUPs but no wing gear, so bring your own. Rig on the grass in front of the clubhouse.”
