Blankenberge, Noordzee, Belgium
Blankenberge is one of the busiest resorts on the Belgian coast, with a long seawall and a pier. Kiters and windsurfers launch from the marked zone at the O'Neill Beachclub on the Zeedijk. The North Sea gives small chop and medium waves without a real shorebreak, and the spot is known for clean waves after a W or NW storm. Usable winds run from SW to NE through W and N.
“The O'Neill Beachclub is at Zeedijk 245. Parking along the road is paid. Kiting is only allowed through the club, so buy a day membership with the required insurance and wear the club talis on your harness. Launch and land only inside the marked zone, stay out of the guarded bathing zones and keep a safe distance from the groynes and the harbour entrance.”
