The Neusiedler See is Austria's largest kite destination — a vast, shallow steppe lake averaging just 1.5 m depth, making it ideal for beginners and freestyle riders. Reliable westerly winds blow across the open water, and the Duotone Pro Center at Podersdorf is one of the best-equipped in Europe.

Local tips
The main launch is at Podersdorf Noordstrand. The lake operates seasonally from 25 March to 10 November, 7:00–20:00. A second spot at Breitenbrunn works well for SW/W winds with a more onshore angle.
