A reliable thermal north wind — the Rosenwind — builds each afternoon, making it a popular destination for wingfoil beginners and intermediate riders. Kiting is not practised here.

Nussdorf windsurf centre on the west shore is the main hub, with rental, tuition, and easy beach access. Seefeld on the east shore is an alternative. Wind arrives in the afternoon — morning sessions are typically calm.
