Brazil Wingfoil Downwind Trip: Ceará Classic Route
Ceará, Brazil, South America

Eight days along the Ceará coast in northeast Brazil, moving by private 4x4 from Paracuru to Taíba, Icaraí, Ilha do Guajiru and Guriú. The route is built around downwinders: four to five of them in the week, riding the steady trade wind along empty beaches with an instructor in the water and the car following on the sand. Between the long runs there are flat lagoons for practice and progression, so the trip works for every level. You stay in beachfront or near-beach lodging with air conditioning, and the week ends with a sunset buggy ride through the dunes and a seafood dinner. Ventus also runs a shorter Essentials route (Cumbuco and Ilha do Guajiru, from US$1,550) and a remote Wild Wind route to Atins in August and September (US$2,295). A single room costs 15% extra.
